Funko Fridays: Funko I Want the Most

Since I'm so new to the whole Funko thing, I have quite a long wish list of little guys and gals that I want. I didn't even know that there was an Edward Scissorhands Funko Pop until I was browsing the display at a comic shop and he was just there! I immediately picked him up and went "AWWWW!!"

(but alas, I did not purchase him.. not yet)

Edward Scissorhands is one of, (if not my all-time), favorite character of Johnny Depp's. The movie is so magical and special, and Edward was such a kind, sweet, adorable and misunderstood creature.

I just love him. And I must have this in my Funko collection some day soon! 

(Look at the details of his little outfit! And they even added the scars on his face!)

 

Funko Friday: The Funko(s) I Want the Most!

Thanks again, Melissa Storm, for telling me this news. One of my favorite people in the entire world and of all time and space is getting his own Funkos.

And I need them.

Like.. now.

Two different looks (that I know of so far), from two very different eras, but I love how accurate they are. A Christmas delivery from Santa would be impossible, however, considering he's already sold out (during pre-orders, no less), but maybe if I'm EXTRA good these last few weeks of 2015??

Funko Friday: Show and Tell - Castiel #95

Hello there, and welcome to Funko Friday hosted by Pepi of DePepi.com and Kimi of KimiWho.com!!!

I only just stumbled upon this blog linkup, and I don't yet own enough Funkos to call myself a 'collector', but I do love the little figurines and wanted to join in. Today's theme is "show and tell" - so let me show off my latest 'Precious', and tell you about him!

This is only the second Funko Pop toy I've purchased for myself. As you all (hopefully) know by now, I am a HUGE Supernatural addict, so I'm trying to collect all the SPN Funkos out there. The first one I bought was Dean, (because, Hello, Dean girl over here), but the one SPN Funko I've wanted since the beginning was the Castiel with wings one, here!

I believe he's a couple of years old, by now, and therefore actually getting to be "rare"... No way you'll find him in stores. I had to go the ebay route, and unfortunately had to pay a bit more than a regular/current figure costs, but it was worth it!

I am SO in LOVE with this figure. Truly, I am. LOOK AT HIM. HE'S SO PRECIOUS.

The thing I appreciate about Funkos is the attention to detail in the clothing of the characters. As you can see, they got Castiel's signature backwards tie !!

And don't even get me started on the wings...

On the show, the angels' wings are portrayed as shadows, so it makes sense that they made my Castiel's wings see-through, but what I love even more, (and it's kind of hard to tell from the photo, but), THERE'S GLITTER IN THE WINGS!!!!!

I mean, honestly, I just can't.

And, now, for the customization explanation: as you can see, I painted his eyes. The one "gripe" I have with Funkos is that they all have the same black dots for eyes. Granted, I understand that's part of the whole 'signature' of Funko, or whatever, but I just don't know how I feel about it.

I want my figures to COMPLETELY resemble the characters/actors who portray them, (especially when they're known for having naturally gorgeous eyes!) and the homogenized black eyes just make them all look like clones, rather than unique collectables, you know?

But that's just me, of course! Personal choice ;)

So there you have it! I love my Cas figure so much. And Dean is pretty happy to have him around, too. (Now I just need SAM and I'll have a complete 'Team Free Will'!!!)
